Urbanears – Plattan ADV Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Snow Blue, Son loves them

I went for some cheaper headphones that had better reviews – really regretted the decision. These are a good subtle design – all matt (no tacky shiny bits) and very durable. My last pair i had for 4 years before they got a bit too dirty and cleaning them wasn’t an option any more ( had the white pair) however, they still worked finewouldn’t recommend the white if you’re a girl who wears makeup. Not too big on the overhead. Really do love these headphones.

Great set of headphones, my niece and sister in law have both bought these and i was so impressed with them that i bought a pair too. Love the fact that they are wireless but also have a wire too.

I’ve been using these headphones multiple hours daily for several weeks now, and couldn’t be happier with them. The battery life is more than enough, i only really charge them once every 3 or 4 days, with probably 10-15 hours listening between charges. They’re very comfortable to wear, although i do find that i have to take them off after an hour or so of listening or i start getting earache. This is something i experience with all on-ear headphones though. I happened to have a pair of beats headphones (not mine) to compare these to. The sound quality of the more expensive beats is impressive, i found them to be more clear than the urbanears, and a bit more bassy too. Saying that, the urbanears are are of more than sufficient audio quality, although you are getting what you pay for. The touch controls on the urbanears are very convenient. I often find myself using them to skip and change the volume. Others have written that they often accidentally trigger them, but i have had no such problem.

“Best bluetooth headphones for price
, Great purchase so far
, Gym?

It has great sound quality and great for noise cancelling. It is comfortable on the ears, if not a little bit tight. The cordless facility lets it down as the battery life is pretty poor. After a full charge, it lasted no more than 3 hours of play time. I have had these headphones for 2. 5 years now and the battery life kept reducing – now it does not work at all. I am grateful for the fact that it also came with a cord, otherwise this product would be useless and a complete, utter waste of money.

Great sound good battery lifelove it comes with audio lead in case you need to plug in and save batterygood bass sound with out sounding pushed and over all range is goodblock most back ground noisevalue for money i would buy urbanears over any other brand.

Good product but a pain to keep charging and you ant walk too far away from the device.

These headphones were bought as a gift and the recipient thoroughly enjoyed them. The delivery time was excellent; the packaging was sleek and satisfying to open; and the instructions inside were clear and concise. These headphones were easy to connect to the recipient’s phone and worked well immediately. I’m no audiophile but the sound quality was great and it played all the songs i listened to well, with no indication of bad quality or its relatively low price in the realm of high-end headphones. The headphones themselves look great, and unlike many other brands, they don’t ruin their appearance by stamping on a huge logo on the headphones, which was also a big plus. These headphones were also quite comfortable for both the recipient who has a relatively small head, and for me even though i have a relatively large head. Although, i didn’t wear them for long enough to notice any discomfort, but i imagine, as with most on-ear headphones, there will be some discomfort after extended periods of use. I cannot yet comment on the battery life or long-term durability of these headphones, but they seem to be of a high quality so far.

Today is exactly one year since i bought the adv. I have a pixel 2, which dropped the jack, so i needed bt headphones. I’ve a fan of urbanears for years now and after looking around i ended up choosing adv. There was really nothing else matching the feature set at the price point. I want to address the comments about build quality. Urbanears in my experience have been like that since i have discovered them. The products look good, work great, but durability has always been a weak point. I have had a number of their product fail within one year, which sucks considering the price. However, i have had their support replace them every time with a brand new pair due to 1 year warranty. Back to the adv, i have had zero issues so far and i use them nearly every day.

So far so good, i’ve had them for a day and they’re perfect.

Second pair – love the headphones for convenience (planes and travel esp) and for sound quality they retain great frequency response (less flat than my sennheiser momentums) but louder wand which is great for transport. If it helps, a little velcro tape under the headband can keep it well secured. The only design flaw is the hinge is plastic the folds the headphones (lose of a star) and this has lead to 2 pairs breaking. You have to be careful not to put pressure on them accidentally as they will snap at this weak point. A metal pivot would make so much sense.

This is my second pair as the first pair were fantastic. Had the first pair 2 years and used them a lot. I made the mistake of leaving them to rattle around in my gym bag so although not indestructible they are great and nowhere near bose prices. I love them and will keep buying them.

So i’ve been trying these out for a couple of months at the gym. Positives:wirelessdoesn’t fall out of earscan go very loudfold up in my bagholds its charge for a long period of timenegatives:can loosen when running which gets irritatingthe touch pad is not very sensitive so it’s easier to change the song with my phonecan’t deal with being a few metres away from my phone so i still have to carry that with meisn’t the most attractivestruggling to find a pair of headphones that fit my small ears and small head.

They are really good headphones. Good cheap wireless headphones, good sound quality and they don’t bleed too much. The only issue is my ears get really hot with the headphones after an hour or so of use and they hurt quite a bit. So i can’t wear them long periods of time. Which is why i’m only giving 3 stars.

He loves them and wears them all the time. His only compliant is that his ears ache after wearing them continuously for more than two hours.

Cancel noise to a good degree (still safe when you go for a run, so you can actually hear cars behind you). Easy to change songs by using the touch functions.

These are great headphones, for this price, the sound quality is not much worse than some of my headphones that cost £200 (bang & olufsen for example). Really easy and compact to carry around and wear in the gym. The battery life is also great, around 15-20 hrs?.

Headphones are as described in the listing. They are comfortable and lightweight, sound quality is as good as the wired plattans that they are replacing. The touch control works well and is easy to use while wearing the headphones. I’ve knocked as star off for overall service, as amazon logistics failed to meet the estimated delivery date. This was despite the order being despatched on time and being out for delivery on the expected date. Delivered a day late, and even then only after complaining to amazon.

So happy with thesenot easily brokenbattery life is great, better battery life than my bluetooth speaker, probably double the lengthmy go-to, can’t attend gym without them nowso easy to change songs with the touch-activated controls on the right earphone.

These headphones are reasonably comfortable and the sound is okay, but not great. The bluetooth keeps dropping connection though. My real problem with them is that the super sensitive touch controls on the earpiece seem to have a life of their own if i’m in the gym so that the track keeps changing or the volume suddenly goes down. If i do a handstand they go silent, either they can’t take being upside down or the side of my arm above my head is pressing the silent mode on the earpiece. So, okay headphones and nice looking but not for gym or running.

Edit: 25/06/2019 – don’t buy this version. Just buy their wire ring range. I think they purposefully put these on wholesale to traders in hmv and amazon to get rid of their stock of defectively designed headphones. Very dishonest behaviour but i guess everyone wants their money nowadays. My first one broke and i couldn’t figure out how to get my warranty on it so i bought new ones. They’re really good as long as the plastic part doesn’t break. My favourite is the tap function. Beware that sometimes it doesn’t link up properly. Might be my phones issue though.

Excellent productamazing soundamazing qualityeasy to usedurablesuperbe quality & pricei vividly recommend it.

Very light comfy headset with great battery life.

I really like the swipe controls and the battery life is really good. I just with there was a way to tell how much charge is left in the battery before it starts beeping that the battery is low. Also, the headphones connect really quickly to my phone.

The only bad thing i find with these headphones is the pressure on my ears, but as that’s expected with every pair of headphones i can’t really complain. Putting one speaker behind my ear seems to help fine, and there’s no harm in taking them off every so often. The sound quality is good as can be, i’m not really an expert. In terms of range the sound tends to crackle up when i go too far away behind walls, but it can go through to the 2nd floor from the 1st with no problem. They’re very sound proof, i basically can’t understand what people are saying if they talk to me. A good feature if you ask me. I bought mine for £45 cause the colour isn’t as popular probably. Tomato red is not as tomatoy as it is in the pictures but who cares anyway. I’d say they’re worth the £45 but the more expensive colours (sky blue and whatnot) are £70 and that’d be out of my price range but since the quality is good it really just depends on your budget.

One Response to Urbanears – Plattan ADV Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Snow Blue, Son loves them

  1. 3.0 out of 5 stars Better buy Plattan 2 says:

This review is from : Urbanears – Plattan ADV Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Snow Blue

Good quality sound, comfortable wear and a long battery life. But – the plastic ring breaks easily and can’t fix it unfortunately, so it’s a waste of money. I would go with plattan 2, that is the newer version. Same thing, but they’ve wisely replaced the rubbish plastic part with the metal one.

  2. 2.0 out of 5 stars Constant interference says:

Constantly suffers from interference if you have the phone in your pocket, meaning that music / sound will cut randomly and be jumpy. Also very pinchy on the side of the head/ears.

Had a black pair for almost 3 years now and last year got an indigo pair too while it was on sale. Very happy with these headphones, especially for around £45 – the sound is good for everyday headphones. Bluetooth works very easily, battery has always been good and touch controls still work brilliantly with iphones. If i’m going away for a few days, i just bring the included 3. 5mm audio cable to use in case the battery runs out. The cable has lasted well, but as expected after 3 years the ear pads are frayed from use and i once had to superglue one of the magnets that holds the removable headband. I actually prefer these headphones to more expensive ones i’ve had (such as beats solo2 that snapped easily) because these are more reliable. The size adjustments at the hinge hold well and fit my big head (and can go even bigger) and look like they fit well for all sizes – something a lot of headphones seem to struggle with. Strongly recommended if you can nab them in your preferred colour for anything under £50.

This review is from : Urbanears – Plattan ADV Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Snow Blue

Not the best quality headphones i have ever owned. They’re not even the best available for their cheap price. For a product that was once advertised as £75, these feel really cheap and lightweight. The sound quality is very bassy and not clear. If you have no other choice and have to buy these, then go ahead, but if you want to shop around and get a far better product for less cost then shop elsewhere.

  19. 2.0 out of 5 stars Too loud and constant white noise says:

This review is from : Urbanears – Plattan ADV Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Snow Blue

Issues:-there is a very audible constant white noise hiss which makes it hard to use these for anything with periods of silence or low volume. – the headphones are too loud. Used with my iphone 7, even on the lowest volume level, in areas where there is no background noise like my bed at night, i cannot get audio to play quietly enough to not hurt my ears. The lowest volume on these sounds the same as half volume on most headphones i have ever had before; the highest volume level is ridiculously loud. – they have apparently not been calibrated correctly with iphones, so putting the volume slider down to around 10% results in audio being muted. – the headphones clasp a bit too tight i think, so wearing them for long periods results in a headache. Good things:+ i’m no audiophile, but they seem to sound pretty good+ the bluetooth functions very well and i am yet to have had an issue with it.

Just wanted to echo a lot of other reviews on here. I loved these for the year i could used them. Decent battery life, decent blue tooth connection, sound quality is great for the price. However the hinges, slowly fell apart with daily use. First a metal plate dropped out, then the hinge kept popping out, then another metal part fell out on the bus and disappeared, leaving me with an unusable flapping left headphone.

The supports on the side are very weak. Both of mine have broken within a few months of use. I used the wired model with metal supports and it lasted over 2 years. I’d recommend them to anyone they’re great. But the plastic ones will not last and are therefore a great disappointment and poor design.
