Sony WI-C300 Wireless In-Ear Headphones, WI-C300 in-earphones

I liked the idea of having a set of wireless headphones that wouldn’t get lost, so having the ear buds attached with a remote was a nice touch. Where the sound is totally fine, and with the right eq you can get some really great sound from them. The user experience is a little dimmed by awkward design. The weight in the middle of the headphones when wearing them weighs the cable down underneath your t shirt which can be awkward when turning your head. And when you want to take the buds out, but still keep them around you, there’s nothing to anchor them to your body. So it’s either in your ears or out on the table. There’s no quick ‘i’ll just put these back in’. The bluetooth function is good though.

Nice small ear buds but the battery is too heavy causing the headphones to fall out when you are walking or running along.

I was very happy to try these as i am a sony fan and have been for years. I’ve never had wireless headphones although there is a wire it just connects the in-ear cups with the battery pack/control. It looks very neat and you get a choice of three different size silicone ear caps to choose from as they fit snuggly in the ear. There is a usb cable with it for charging etc and linking to pc. There’s a start-up guide and a reference guide. Good sound and battery time and i charged via my computer as instructed. I fiddled a bit to link it via bluetooth and was soon able to play some tunes.

“No good for running or exercise, Good sound, awkward user experience, Great quality but some design issues”

I’ve been using wired earphones from sony for years, have always found them comfortable and liked the sound. My ears are at slightly different angles and sony buds are the only ones i’ve tried that stays in both. That remains the same for these wireless headphones, they stay in for the most part but i find that the controls add a little weight and it doesn’t feel quite right. It won’t fall out but it feels like it might. It’s nothing major but i find that i have to be conscious of how i position the weight around my neck. Speaking of controls, i find the layout a little odd. I guess i’m just used to the order of back/-, play/pause, forward/+. Another thing i’ve noticed is that when making calls, any slight touch along the wire gets picked up by the mic. I’ve been told that it sounds bad by other people. Not a big deal since i don’t make a lot of calls and use it primarily for audiobooks and music.

This product is exactly what i thought i was getting.

Easy to set up, quick to charge and sound quite good. The sound is detailed and has a wide sound stage. There are better for not much more, eg sony mdr-xb80b5 on amazon.

I’ve used a lot of these kinds of ‘wireless’ earphones (including apple, jabra, house of marley and philips), and these are probably the best in their price range. You get the customary small, medium and large silicone tips, the audio is good, the (lithium lion) battery pack isn’t as heavy and irritating as some, the bluetooth connection is rock-solid, and they can use the aac codec as well as the usual sbc. I don’t call earphones like these totally wireless. It can pull the earbuds out of your ears, which is annoying, but overall they’re pretty good.

These in ear wireless headphones have good sound quantity and are easy to set up. I like the turquoise colour and so far they have worked well.

These are not noise cancelling so have to be careful not to pump up the volume too loud. Easy to set up, not too heavy. But again, not noise cancelling. Overall solid everyday in-ear headphones.

Works great and battery lasts for several hours.

I was extremely disappointed with these earbuds. I have been using them for 6 months and have never been overly happy with them, found they never quite fit my ears and after 3 months they would barely stay in my ears. The weight in the middle of the cord is extremely cumbersome and can be uncomfortable. They were slow to connect to my phone. The final straw was the left ear bud started crackling after about 6 months, shortly after it went dead completely. A week later the same thing happened to the other earbud. For the price point i found the build quality extremely disappointing. I’ll be sticking to other brands from now on.

Utter crap, sound reduced to a very very low level in a matter of days and makes me feel as if i have a kids mode on in my earphones because the audio is unhearable in public transport and outside as you can even hear the wind blowing past you as it overpowers the sound of the music.

When i first got these they were great- especially for the price i thought. They were decent earphones that happened to be cordless which was good. I thought they were comfortable and easy to use. However, the quality is super low sadly. It has only been a few weeks and they have already started to fall apart. They no longer hold a charge at all and the right ear has developed a crackling/screeching sound that will not go away, even at a very low volume. For this price i would suggest paying a little more and getting a really nice brand name pair, or spend a little less and just keep buying cheap £10 pairs that you know will only last a few months. Either way, do not waste your money on these.

Terrible headphones unless you are inanimate – even the smallest movements cause them to fall out the ears due to large battery pack on neck and large volume control button; don’t even attempt gym or running with these.
