Skullcandy Uproar Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Headphones – – Good battery life, good sound

Really nice headphones, good sound quality. Only complaint that they crush my ears after a while (i wear for 6+ hours a day at work). Battery life is quite good, only need to charge every few days, good considering they get 6+ hours of use a day.

I paid £29 for these headphones, and i couldn’t be happier. At that price point, this is the best pair of bluetooth on-ears that one could get as far as i am aware. They’re comfortable, light, and compact and they look pretty good, and their sound is good – high quality sound for most consumers, with skullcandy’s typical emphasis on bass. If you enjoy the feel and sound of the bass in your music, these headphones are excellent. That said, the value proposition might be very different at £50 – so i would advise doing a lot of research before paying full price for these.

Bought for my husband to use when gaming. He was a bit sceptical at first, as it’s not a brand he has used before, but after giving them a thorough trial, decided he really liked them. He now wears them for gaming, listening to podcasts and making phone calls. Good battery life and decent sound quality. My dad tried them out and has now bought himself a pair. Here are the specifications for the Skullcandy Uproar Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Headphones –:

  • 10 hours battery life keeps your audio going non-stop; recharge with provided micro USB cable

Our whole family have a pair of uproar skull candy wireless headphones and we love them. Bluetooth connection goes a long way. Battery lasts a long long time.

For the price very hard to beat i thinkthe key for me was the comfort over time i suffer from tinitus so other headphones either sweat my ears or the constant over pressure makes it uncomfortablethese are perfect for audio books or tv well done.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Excellent value for money.
  • Skullcandy – Fantastic
  • Fabulous sound quality for the price

Comfortable for the gym and stay in place when running. Brilliant sound – can’t even hear the gym music when i’m playing mine via bluetooth from iphone. Tested them in the house and still connects when i went into the other room.

Really comfortable and very easy to use. Sound quality isn’t great, my cheap in ear phones give a deeper sound, but that not bad if you can adjust the bass on your device. Worth the money given that they’re wireless and so user friendly, but in hindsight i personally would have invested more in a better pair.

Easy the connect to my mobile, good sound quality and comfortable. I like the control buttons on the right earphone and the overall style is discreet and tasteful.

Clearly only designed for people with a small head. Although both headphones reach my ears easily they sit at a funny angle as the band design is such that it doesn’t sit correctly on my head. Actually head phone cans are smaller than expected too. Good sound quality though and you can be quite a distance from your device without any problems.

Bought for my son aged 12 and he loves them. He uses these with his ipad rather than listening to music on the go. He uses these for 1 or 2 hours daily and has only changed them 3 times since christmas. Sound is fine from what i hear when i borrow these. Great price for what seems to be a great product. Just order myself a pair for the gym and when sitting at my desk at work. No more wires getting in the way.

Material feel is good, fits very well to my head though my head is very big. Charges very fast, and hold battery power for around 10-14 hours with music. Buttons feels is very good and easy to use. Con ets with bluetooth very easily. Once setup it auto detects for next time. So all in all very good product.

Good headphones at first but after only a few weeks it was slow to connect to my phone and the sound is very quiet. I used to be able to have the sound really low on my phone but quite high through the speakers of the headphones but now i have to turn my phone volume on full to get that sound. Sometimes there’s a delay when i’m not listening to music but maybe playing a game. It’s a good product but it’s certainly not flawless.

Our family loves these skullcandy headphones. We all have a pair in various colours. Fabulous sound quality for the price. (the dog got hold of one set and pulled the ear casing off one side. They went back together without any problem). The charge seems to last a long time as well.

Battery life is good if you use it 1-2 hours a day like me. Dropped it a few times there are no scratches and it hasnt broken yet.

Excellent sound quality and bluetooth works well with iphone. Connection with macbook struggles sometimes but unsure if it’s an error with the headphones or laptop. Comfortable fit although could be slightly bigger to go round the head.

These headphones are excellent for my 4. The sound quality is excellent and they are very comfortable. The on ear design is a little different to over ear and took a little time to get used to, but they are very snug and comfortable without being too tight. They feel very hard wearing, which they need to be for him. Connection is very easy and stable. Working range is approximately 10 metres.

Really good headphones for it’s value. Surprisingly good audio quality and strikingly good battery life. Only problem i had is that after a while the fitting of headphones loosen up and it just slides off. It’s annoying when you want to keep it on for longer calls or to listen to music after long time. When i am walking or doing some household work while listening to music or talking to someone on phone, it gets really sweaty and again comes off again and again. However, except these two problems it’s a really great value for money headphones.

So easy to use and easy to charge. They take a few hours but it’s really not bad. I love using them in the office. Just have my phone in my pocket and i can go wherever.

Im no stranger to quality expensive headphones currently owning audio-technica mx-50’s around £130-150 which are fantastic,so buying these for the kids i was trully shocked with the quality and separation of the sound. Absolute bargain, bought another pair the next day.

They’re alright considering the price but don’t expect something that’s going to blow you away. The battery life is decent but i couldn’t get more than 4 hours out of them. They are pretty light considering other models i tried which is a plus.

    • 4.0 out of 5 stars Nice 'phones, especially considering the price says:
Nice pair of bluetooth headphones for the price. Now about three weeks in and no problems (as reflected in other reviews) experienced as yet. I have used these almost daily, late at night, to listen to some relaxing chillout without disturbing my wife, so only for half an hour or so at a time, but i find them very comfortable. There is a very slight hum/rattle which is only noticeable when the music goes very quiet at the low volume that i listen to my chillout, but (for me) doesn’t detract sufficiently for me to lower the score below 4* (they are, after all, pretty cheap), but does mean that they probably don’t deserve a 5* rating. Recently listened to downloaded radio programmes (cerys matthews on radio 6, so a test of both dialogue and variety of music styles), on two rail journeys the other day when they were on my head virtually for the whole time (three and a half hours each way) and i did not find them uncomfortable at all. The audio across all music genres and spoken voice was absolutely fine for my ears. The other thing that i like, is that when the ‘phones were off my head, the absence of noise leakage was really impressive, albeit i don’t have the volume really high. So far, i would not hesitate to recommend these as a good balance of quality and cost.

These are not bad for budget bluetooth headphones. They are both bass heavy & treble heavy which can be sorted to a degree with your equalizer settings. For £25, there aren’t many bluetooth sets that match the style of these though. Sound quality – 3/5comfort – 4/5battery life – 5/5style – 5/5ease of use – 5/5.

Nice lightweight headphones, surprisingly light i would say. Instant bluetooth connection and very good sound quality to say the ear cushions don’t cover your hears but are just against them. Overall not the best skullcandy headphones i’ve bought but i’d recommend for the price especially if your not looking for a big chunky pair.

    • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great value entry level branded bluetooth headphones says:
Wanted some entry level headphones and these have just arrived – immediate impressions are very good. Comfortable fit, lightweight and easy to pair to my iphone 7. Using them to listen to my fitness music for learning routines to group exercise and they fit the bill. Bass is good, treble and mid range fine although distortion becomes obvious at higher volumes – but for £30 you really can’t find anything wrong in that. Highly recommended for this price.

  10. 2.0 out of 5 stars Sounds great...let down by faulty buttons/controls. says:
Great sound, nice base which i like. Only 2 stars though as within 2 weeks of purchase the control buttons on the headphones had stopped working and i’ve left it too late to return them. I can’t skip a track or adjust volume, and considering i bought these to use in the gym with my phone in my pocket/left on the side, it’s now defeated the object. I still have to get my phone out or go back to it to control the music i’m listening to. If the controls hadn’t broken, i’d have given these 5 stars as the range is good for clear connectivity too.

These started out okay for the first couple of times, but have got progressively worse. After wearing them twice they moulded to the shape of my head, i am not sure if they are meant to do this but now i feel like they could snap at any point, and makes it so uncomfortable for anyone else to wear. Not that anyone can even use them now as they wont even connect to my phone which is extremely frustrating when at the gym, and even when they did work they cut out all the time. I wouldn’t mind so much if this was after a year or so but i have only worn them a few times.

The sound is nothing special and after having these for a month, i’m finding the sound drops out every few seconds at times as though the bluetooth connection is faulty. Only decent thing was the battery life. Sadly just missed the returns cut off.

You get what you pay for with these headphones; they look and feel cheap, the sound quality is terrible and hollow, it amplifies external sounds, and they gave me a headache from being too tight.
