I was a bit worried buying these having read the reviews with regards to the use of them with iphones. However i bit the bullet and made the purchase and i really don’t know what all the negative comments are about. These work fine with my iphone. Also the battery life on it is amazing. I’ve charged it only once when i first got them and i haven’t needed to do it again yet and i use them a lot. They are not the comfiest things though and are rather big around the lobes, as a result they don’t stay in my ears for long if i am running for example, unless you i’m them in and it’s pretty uncomfortable.
I don’t know if it’s just an impression, but after a couple of runs and workouts with them the sound quality seems to have got worse and less clear – don’t know if because of sweat getting somewhere inside the earphones or, as said, maybe it’s just an impression. Not really user friendly the system to switch to a song forward and back – you have to hold the button for about 3 seconds which is a long time if you are running and if you don’t hold it long enough you end up increasing or decreasing the volume, which is a bit annoying. Other than that, it’s my first pair of wireless headphones and running with no wires around is a blessing. Update: after my review, the seller’s customer service contacted me and very swiftly sent me a replacement – which works very well, so i think my previous item might have been defected. I’m changing my review to 5 stars.

These are pretty great, but are a little uncomfortable for me when i wear them for long periods, since i have a pretty big head (literally, not metaphorically). The audio quality is pretty decent when you consider what it actually is and i enjoyed my experience even if it was not as brilliant as my on-ear sennheiser ones, because i expected it not to be. The battery life is pretty great and lasts for long enough that i don’t have to worry about it at all often. Finally, the mic, while not the most important factor, was apparently even better than my sony bluetooth headphones, which are considerably larger and have better overall sound quality, so that’s a nice touch.
The good -i gotta say, i bloody love these headphones. I got them about a year ago and it’s very rare that i leave the house without them and my music player. They’re very comfortable and come with a couple different size ear buds. They really stay in the ears well, i’ve done silly little experiments really trying to get them to come out they’re that good, like headbangin’ a little and different exercises like jumping burpees and they just stay in. The instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow to get things started, and pairing them to another bluetooth device is very quick and easy. Battery life is great, after a full charge it usually lasts about 8 or 9 hours, listening to various music for about an hour or two at a time. The sound quality is really good, this surprised me the most with it, especially for in ear style and that they’re wireless. I’ve noticed though, that it depends on the device that’s transmitting the audio, for example, i have an old phone with an earlier bluetooth technology(2. 1 i think) and the sound quality is crap but now i’ve paired these headphones with the mpow streambot transmitter / receiver(also on amazon, link below), and the latter device is connected to an older psp slim and the sound and signal are just great. Uk/mpow-streambot-bluetooth-switchable-transmitter/dp/b00q6d26qg/ref=sr_1_3?ie=utf8&qid=1444691494&sr=8-3&keywords=mpow+transmitterrange on them when connected to a good source is great, i put a psp slim with streambot connected to it in a separate room with quite thick walls separating the rooms and it sent the music to the headphones clearly, the distance was about 5 metres. The specs state that the signal range is more than this but i noticed, the more obstacles you have in between the audio source and the headphones, the weaker the signal and worse the range. Only bad thing i’ve experienced is, when i’d gone for a very long and intense mountain bike ride recently, i was sweating a s**t load over quite a bit of time and the headphones kind of gave it up a bit, the sound quality stuttered for a minute or so then after about quarter of an hour, they kept beeping louder and louder until they switched ’em selves off. When i got home and charged them again i was just starting to listen to music and had a bit of shock because they came on at maximum volume, i thought i’d accidentally pressed and held the volume up button so tried to turn the volume down but couldn’t. The volume buttons had stopped working completely. I went onto the mpow website to check for support and got in touch, explaining my little story above and asking if they could repair them or something.
For the price these are great. I bought them as a stocking filler for my wife who likes to run but is less of an audiophile and tech geek than myself. She insisted that i do not buy any bose headphones to add to our collection of bose products as she felt she would not appreciate them. So i decided to try these super budget headphones for her. The packaging is pretty nice for the price. The headphones come well presented in a black, sleek box with a magnetic opening lid. The headphones feel as i expected for the price. A bit plastic, with simple rubber buttons and very thin no luxurious ear buds. The wire that connects the two headphones is way too rigid for use. I almost struggled to get it into shape to wear / test the headphones.
Mpow® Cheetah Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Headphones Sweatproof Stereo Sport Earphones with Microphone Hands-free Calling AptX for iPhone , and Other Smart Phones : A number of people have asked if these phones will be suitable with samsung tv’s ?. I can confirm that they work beautifully with the samsung series 6 smart tv range. . But you need a bluetooth transmitter connected to the tv audio out. In order to transmit the bt signal to the receiving headset i use mine with an avantree saturn unit which when set to the tx ( transmit ) setting , will provide very clear and totally acceptable sound quality from both the samsung tv and the humax pvr as well easy to pair with the transmitter , and as others have rightly stated. They aren’t bose sound quality , but for tv sound reception , they are certainly very very good for the price point. Nice comfortable and solid feel , god fit , and although the switches sre a little small. . They are easy enough to operate and overall these headphones are a great buy and well worth buying .
My goal was to be able to listen to music whilst doing various sports, without having a wire flapping around. I did the usual digging and it basically came down to these based on the price they don’t cost and the fact that nothing flaps around. A couple of months in and i love them. I bought an armband for my phone and now i’m off jogging, interval training, weights – although not cycling for safety reasons. They fit fine in my ears with the stock earbuds – sound quality isn’t amazing compared to some of the higher end earphones i have but then they are at least half of the price. It’s good sound quality without being great, and for the price, if you were to lose them then they’re cheap enough to replace. Fantastic product and i can’t recommend them highly enough.
The sound out of these is good. I’ve heard better from more expensive buds but these are punching above their weight. For my commute to work these are more than adequate. My only criticism in the fit. The in-ear buds angle upward, and i am happy to admit i maybe stupid but, it took me a good 10 minutes to work out exactly how to put them in my ears. Not something i’ve ever experienced with any other headphones. Anyway, once i’d worked it out, i still don’t think the fit is quite right (hence the drop of a star). You get three different sized rubber cups in the box. Once super-massive, try as i might, they won’t physically fit in my ear.
These headphones are the best in ear set i have ever boughtprevious sets from other makes and manufacturers (i have had about five) are very tinny in sound, the lead behind the neck line was too long and you had an extra hanging piece for the controls which were annoying when i was speed skipping in the gym. The mpow cheetah sport bluetooth headphones are light, stylish, very comfortable inside and around the ear (comes with 3 ear cups). I always had trouble with headphones staying in my ears whilst doing workouts, but these are perfect for mealso there was no loss in clarity when i go over to choose my weights at the stands so the range is good (as my phone is usually left on the window). Also works as a good reminder that i have left my phone if i can’t hear my music. I always listen to my music downloads on my phone if i’m in the gym, cycling or even gardening and the sound quality is very good. Not tinny, no need to adjust your equaliser settings on your device and also comes with a little bass, not too hard and not too soft. Bluetooth connect is quick and faultless, comes with a charge cable and instructions on how to operate. I have had these less than a week and now i keep them wherever i go, inside the original packing box it came in. When you untwist the headphones for use and then return them to the box it is very easy to place them back in the moulded casing inside, as it has a certain configuration (see attached photo) so i know my sound rockers will be safe and secure. I would expect these to be up there in the £30 range but i purchased them for less than half that price. This is the first time i have ever given a review like this on a product from amazon. I love listening to music when i can so these headphones are a blessing. I will stop blabbing now so that you can purchase and try a pair for yourself.
I would give 5 stars only if the mic phone could pick up my voice clearly. My first impression as follow:the goodthe headphone itself looks great, not too bulky and fits very well. I use it to walk, and gym session and they stay in. The sound, just like other reviewers, i’m not an audiophile, so i’m satisfied with the quality. The connection – with my old v2. 1, whilst walking and the phone in the pocket, songs sometimes stop for a bit. With this one it seems to stay connected all the time. The bad:the wire at the back keeps rubbing on the back of my head, although when the music is playing, i can’t notice the scratching sound, but when there’s no music, i can. The call sound quality – on the receiver end is clear, however on the other end, the sound is a bit muffled. Otherwise, this is a near perfect headphone. I can understand that the mic is so far away from my mouth, my voice isn’t projected backwards. Hence i just turn off the call profile :(.
Used these for a few years now. They’re reliable and the battery lasts a good few hours. Features include volume control, on/off, bluetooth connect, and micro usb charge. The sound quality is a fair bit better than your cheap pair of earbuds, but you certainly won’t be blown away by it. Unfortunately it has one flaw – the low battery voice notification pauses whatever’s playing and scares the life out of you. Especially awful if you’re meditating with music.
. They arrived the next day which is always a bonus. Comfort – perfect, sits on my head just fine and dont slip or move when cycling or running (well, jogging). There are extra buds but the ones they came with were just finesound – when seated right they deliver a good bass sound, they are loud too. Battery life – not had an issue yet, i leave them on the side for days at a time between charges and use them for about 20-30 mins every time i go out. Ease of use – got to be a bit of a moron not to figure these little puppies out. There is a decent instruction leaflet with it but on the whole, very simple, the controls are easy to use too. Other – mine are paired to a samsung gear solo watch. They are an ideal companion to that and as a very cheap set of headphones i am genuinely impressed.
Nice inexpensive solution to using a smartphone hands-free and wire-free for music, radio and even phone calls. Not going to win hi-fi reviews for sound quality, but comfortable, and very adequate for speech and basic music. Useful item for working around the house and garden. No wires to snag, and stays with you when you walk around. It was a nice bonus to find that the switch on the headset pauses the audo source. I listen to a lot of speech radio and it’s the best solution i’ve yet found for pausing a programme to answer the door, take a phone call, or greet a passer-by. Haven’t had it long enough to comment yet on re-charging and on battery life.
I really liked these earphones. Now over the years, i’ve been through about 8 high price sennheiser or klipsch earphones – all of which broke down in less than 4-8 months (loss of sound due to cable/plug failure). This year thoroughly fed-up, i decided to explore cheaper earphones and ended up with the betron b850’s. I use my earphones for running and these doozies were good enough, but start slipping out frequently when enough sweat is created. So when my wife moved to dre powerbeats 2, i thought wireless would be the way to go, and tried the mpow cheetah sport. Here’s what i found:- mpow’s do not fall out as they are squeezed in place by the springy coil you see in the photographs (it goes around the back of the neck). For me, this was my main criteria. – sound quality is good enough for outdoor activities – mid-tones are weak and you don’t get ‘thumping base’ if that’s your’e requirement. – bizarrely, for running i actually prefer these to the way more expensive powerbeats 2 which can have a surprisingly ‘tinny’ sound quality at times though they have better overall range including base.
**update 23/09/2016**close to almost a year now since purchase and i am pleased to say that this has been my favourite and most-used headphones. Still my go-to headsetlasted far longer than other higher-priced branded models***************************************************************************************************i love my wireless headsets. If they are bluetooth and sweat resistent, then that is a bonus as well. I run/bike/climb but don’t swim so often. I previously owned various incarnations of the sonyw273 8gb but then (because they now can be submerged up to 2m for swimming) they switched to a proprietary charger – a small hassle. I was looking at the previous mpow bluetooth headset but didn’t like the dangly wires. Opted for this one and am v pleased. Out of the box it charged without hassle and paired without problem with my smartphone. I also switched to larger buds. I have a normal sized head with, what i hope are – normal ears.
These arrived in less than 24hrs through amazon prime and they are fantastic. I cannot believe that they are so good for so little money. They do all as described but the experience, for someone who has only ever used corded headphones, is so liberating. In such a minimal form factor, i can now watch action films without disturbing anyone else in the house. I can listen and control my music when walking the dogs or out and about and, unbelievably, i can take calls and use siri. My daughter is getting a pair and i will also buy a second for when the first is recharging. I accepted a relatively short charge life (5 hrs) at purchase but appreciate that there should be some give and take. I’m happy to buy 2 pairs at the price instead of a anything larger or anything more that twice this price. The fit is very natural and i have found that, with my ear shape, i can use the smaller tips, which do not fully seal the outer ear, to allow me to hear ambient sounds as well as my media. This is perfect for walking around town and crossing busy roads.
Got these a week a go and love them. They’re my first pair of bluetooth headphones so wasn’t sure what to expect. They are very comfortable and the sound quality is decent. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as wired headphones, but the convenience of no cables makes up for it. You can happily walk about 10-15m away from your device without losing the sound. This particular pair are fairly small and perfect for running or cycling. At £16 they are very reasonable. They can also be used as a hands free headset. They have call button and volume button which double up as start/pause and forward/back buttons. Great product for the price.
Since my original review, i have had the chance to use this device with other products and the volume control is fine, i have yet to try it with other phone to check the issue with echo. I really like this product and other mpow products, i have since then ordered 3 other similar devices from mpow as presents to other people who have all been impressed with it. Also a note about the service provided by the seller, it is a 5* rate, as they simply replied to my review to ask for feedback and offer advice about use of the product, which was a pleasant surprise. Original review- this is a great product for the price. The only issue i have is with the volume control on my android phone. I usually listen to things on low volume and the lowest it goes is still too high for mesome people have been complaining about an echo when they are talking to me over the phone via the headset. I am assuming this is a firmwire issue, if it can be sorted then there is no reason to not give this little gadget a 5* review.
These are great for the price and stay in place while running/hiking etc. I’m not a big music person so can’t talk about treble/bass etc except that it sounds good to me. I use them mostly for listening to audio books which i find vary greatly in sound quality depending on the source, age, and production quality and i often struggled to hear spoken word in noisier environment, such as walking next to a busy road; these solve that problem by being louder and my blocking out noise.
I can’t speak for the longevity of these things so consider this a first impressions review. They look good, smaller than i feared and light enough to forget about while running. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect for a sub-£20 pair of earphones – plasticky and doesn’t feel like they’d take much abuse – handle with care then. I still feel a bit silly wearing them because they just look like big ‘ol earbuds but i’ll get over it. It’s better than having a battery pack on the neck band. They paired quickly and easily with my smartphone, i had the controls down in a few minutes. Sound quality is surprisingly good, again considering the limitations of the budget. My smartphone is old and doesn’t do aptx or anything fancy and these are perfectly acceptable for running to. If you’re not getting bass i suggest you go for the larger ear bits, air-tight is important. Of course it isn’t hi-fi but i’ve bought wired earbuds at the £20 mark that have sounded worse than these.
Day one these were a little disappointing. First, the cable is rigid, meaning that if it doesn’t fit your head: it doesn’t fit properly. The audio quality was horrible even compared to my -£10 wired earphones. For ages i was confused as to why i could only get it to go up to a very low volume. Eventually i realised that the controls on the earphones literally control the earphones themselves and don’t send a signal to phone. This is pretty confusing given that the ‘function’ key does send signals to stop and start tracks or answer calls. Equally, the ‘hold volume button to move tracks’ that i have on my phone is also available to use but the direction of volume up/down and track forward/back are reversed vs the phone’s setup for some reason. Day two; audio starts going garbled randomly. Not dropping out like if i’d walked far enough from the earphones to strain the capacity of the bluetooth connection but sort of lagging/static. This occurs even when the phone is strapped to my arm not more than a foot or so from the earphones.
The battery life, the mic, the sound quality are all excellent for this product considering the price and i have been really pleased with them. They also are very good at staying put even through heavy agitation. The only reason these haven’t got 5* from me is because they lack durability. After about 16months the flexible plastic that goes round the back of the neck started to split in multiple places, although i extended their life a bit further by using electrical tape and it’s worth noting the quality of the sound etc hasn’t yet suffered. Then again, if you only have to spend £16 every year and a half to replace them – i’d still call that super duper value for money.
